Presidential Inauguration 2009

The LINK AMERICAS Foundation is co-hosting the ICT Presidential Inaugural Gala 2009 in Washington DC.The non-partisan event will be held in honor of the Inauguration of the President of the United States of America. Proceeds will support efforts of the LINK AMERICAS Foundation and other non-profit hosting organizations.

international ICT Literacy Summit 2003.

"The Summit was an opportunity for leading executives, education and policy-makers from the United States and participating nations to influence the policies that will shape this new basic literacy."

The discussions related to 21st Century information and communications literacy sparked an international dialogue related to ICT literacy. The Link Americas Foundation was a leading participant in the discussions – bringing attention to the need to focus on the global digital divide. Business participants and non-profit organizations continue to promote activities related to bridging the global ICT literacy gap. The ICT Literacy Portal www.ictliteracy.info was developed as a result of this effort, and continues to be recognized as the primer portal for global resources and information on ICT digital literacy.

Since the Summit, Link Americas Foundation has continued discussions regarding the importance of information and communications technology literacy with collaborative partners in Latin America.
