Earthquake Relief Efforts
Peru
LINK AMERICAS Foundation and
its network of affiliates joins the entire nation in expressing
our deepest concern for the thousands who are suffering the
devastating impact of the earthquake in Peru. More than 500
people had been reported killed and 1,500 injured by the August
15, 2007 quake that registered 8.0 on the Richter scale,
according to the United Nations. Many after shocks continue to
rock the region.
We encourage all our associates, friends, and supporters to help
provide for the basic and immediate needs of Peruvian
citizens. They need water, food, shelter, and medical attention
right now.
School-age children will need special support. Schools have
been impacted by the devastation, and will need
additional help obtaining school supplies and education
materials. Link Americas Foundation will target your donations
to local schools and programs to help these children!
Please join us by making a donation to help in the relief
effort. You may contribute
online to
support immediately. Your donation is tax deductible, and you will receive
an electronic confirmation of your support. Link Americas will
post updates on progress over the next critical weeks.
